Building blocks for effective change management
Vision
Without a compelling vision to support your strategy, change is unlikely to succeed or be sustained. Avanza can either work with you to build the capabilities of your change leaders through workshops and coaching or we can provide an experienced change consultant to join your team who will share and transfer the necessary expertise to make the change happen.
Structure
Successful implementation of many programmes will be dependent on changes to your current organisation structure. Avanza will work with you, using our wealth of experience in helping organisations think through organisation design, to drive out the best solution, through the analysis and redefinition of roles, responsibilities, reporting lines and organisation processes.
Performance
A critical building block in managing and sustaining change is the definition of appropriate and meaningful performance measures. Individuals and teams will concentrate on objectives that are being measured; changing performance measures will change the focus of activity within the organisation. Avanza will work with you to define and roll out performance measures that deliver the most impact to your change programme.
Values and Behaviours
When implementing change, it is important to ensure organisation values support the new ways of working. Avanza will work with you at the outset of the programme to assess what needs to be different, particularly your processes, policies and the way you treat your employees, shareholders and customers. Having values is not enough. They need to be inextricably linked to making the change a reality.
Skills and Knowledge
A key element of our managing change approach is the upfront impact assessment of change. This includes identifying which new skills and knowledge will be required going forward and conversely, which will no longer be required. Avanza will work with you on how to manage the skills and knowledge transition with tact and sensitivity.
Reward and Recognition
Organisations often attempt to implement change but continue to reward the 'old way' of doing things. The result is that the desired change does not happen. Avanza will work with you to align your existing reward and recognition system so that it supports not opposes the change effort.
